I'm all the way UP
Weekends—- extended into more High Holidays. Meaning more time to ‘do nothing’ Learning to slow down and not just bake all the COOKIES! I have started to explore and learn more about my home. Want to learn more about Israel's National Parks ?
Take a Hike
(Ok more like a trail walk..)
Bet She’an National Park houses the spectacular ruins of the glory that was the Roman and Byzantine city of Bet She’an. Rediscovered during excavations in the 1920’s. Some of the mosaic flooring was (and still is) completely intact. Located about an hour and a half north of Netanya it was a beautiful trail of ancient history and a ‘bustling city life’.
Did you know…
There are over 40 National Parks in Israel. Tourist Israel shares there TOP 5 Hikes. Bet She’an being one of them! (Plus Caesarea where I went with my parents in July).
Don’t worry Masada’s on the list just a little farther down.
What’s the oldest Nature Park in Israel?
En Gedi Nature Reserve located in the Negev (desert) South Israel. Known as an ‘oasis’ of springs and waterfalls.
